The World Choir Games is the biggest choral competition and festival on the globe and this is your window into its heart….

With choirs competing in 28 different categories there is something for everyone on every day. Some choirs sing a programme of four varied songs; others enter specialist categories, like pop, jazz, gospel, contemporary and sacred music, as well as the fabulous folk and indigenous sections, where choirs often sing and dance in traditional dress. Every session is competitive but friendly, and thoroughly engrossing – a feast for the ears and eyes!

With a Day Pass you can stay in one place and gorge on your favourite kind of music, or mix your courses across a couple of venues, or even dart between all of them to sample as much of our choral smorgasbord as possible!

The competition runs from 9am until after 9pm for three days of each Part (half) of the Games. A Day Pass will allow you to enjoy and support your choice of choirs competing on that day, and with all venues within a short stroll of each other, you’ll certainly be spoiled for choice.

Check the daily programmes to find out who is singing what, where and when... and then have fun planning your day’s musical meal. Entry to venues is on a first-come, first-served basis and doors are closed during the singing, but vacant seats can be filled at the end of each choir’s performance.
